News : New Managing Director Appointed

We are pleased to announce the appointment of John Brennan as Managing Director of the company, with immediate effect. John joins the team at a significant stage of its development, and will be responsible for building on the business' strengths to take us forward with confidence and enthusiasm.

John started his working career in software development during the early 1980s when he worked with Ian and Keith in the emerging IT industry of that time. In 1988 he decided he wanted to experience the major corporate world and took an opportunity to join Hewlett Packard. After 2 years in technical/support roles John moved into the emerging projects business of HP as a project manager. During the next 10 years HP's Professional Services business experienced phenomenal growth, providing Consulting Services and the management of large computer projects and outsourcing arrangements to major clients. With this expansion John's own career developed rapidly, moving from controlling large projects through various business management roles to eventually becoming Consulting Director. In 2001 John decided to leave the large corporate IT world for a new challenge as Chief Operating Officer of a startup Application Service Provider which was being set up by a major financial institution. Following the successful launch of this company, John moved on to enjoy the variety and flexibility of providing independent project consultancy.

John has acquired a significant knowledge of the whole spectrum of IT from technology, software development, support services, together with large scale project management and outsourcing contracts. John has been working with us as a consultant for some months using this experience to build on Mitrals existing business plans and, on that basis, some of you will have already worked with him. We are delighted he has accepted our invitation to play this central role in the development of our business and his skills and experience of business management will support us in the next stage of the company's growth.

This strengthening of the management team will allow Ian to focus on Customer Service and New Business Development with Keith free to concentrate on Product Development, ensuring our software maintains its leading edge in market and technological developments. The ever expanding product range based around our core M-Store software, providing customers with powerful capability and flexibility in managing documents and workflows, is going on apace and we will keep you informed.
