By Car
From the south From the M1, Wakefield/Denby Dale:
From the M1 J39 (if coming south) or J38 (if coming north) follow Huddersfield or Denby Dale signs to the roundabout at Bretton at the junction of the A636 Wakefield/Holmfirth Road and the A637 Barnsley/Huddersfield Road. From the roundabout follow the A636 signposted Denby Dale and continue for approximately four miles through Clayton West, Scissett and Denby Dale to the junction with the A629 Sheffield/Huddersfield Road (Sovereign pub facing you, large petrol station on right), and turn right towards Huddersfield.
Half a mile down the hill from the junction you enter the village of Shepley. Continue down the road until you see a white cottage, turn right just before the cottage into The Knowle and follow the road as it turns left. Mitral is 50 yards on your left side.
From M62, Huddersfield:
From the Huddersfield ring road (Sainsbury's roundabout) take the A629 road out of Huddersfield, signposted Sheffield/M1. Continue on the A629 through Fenay Bridge, Kirkburton and Shelley. Leaving Shelley, still on the A629, road takes a sharp right hand bend and enters Shepley. Continue past the Cask & Spindle pub, under a railway bridge and take the first left turn into The Knowle just past a white cottage. Follow the road as it turns left. Mitral is 50 yards on your left side.
By Train
Trains from Huddersfield to Shepley station run every hour during the week, the station is about 10 minutes walk from our office.
