The serial number can be located on a sticker on the front of the machine.
Check that the paper guides within the cassettes are set flush with the edges of the paper to prevent creasing. We also recommend that, the operator checks that the cassette guides match the paper sizes illustrated on the control panel.
If the problem only occurs when using the document feeder, clean the slit glass, lift the automatic document feeder and the slit glass can be located on the left hand side.

NOTE: Customers using our Managed Print Service (MPS) will be sent replacement toner cartridges automatically when supplies inside the device start to run low. If you are an MPS customer you will not need to order toner from Arena. More about MPS
This usually occurs when the thumbwheel which is usually located on the left hand side of the control panel has been knocked slightly this needs to be adjusted in order to lighten or darken the display.
The error code will normally be displayed in the top right hand corner of the control panel, if not press and hold the ‘C’ Clear button along with number 8.
This may indicate that the waste toner bottle is full and needs replacing.

This is usually displayed when the machine has not been powered down correctly, if the” function clear” is pressed two or three times this should clear the error message.
- Check that the printer is set as your default printer
- Check that the printer is turned on and that a network cable is attached securely
Are other people able to print to the device?
- If Yes, check that you have the correct printer driver installed on your computer.
- If No, check on the print queue that a non standard print size has not been sent. These are usually American paper sizes such as Letter or Ledger. To allow the printer to continue printing we suggest deleting the print and notifying the user who originated the print.
When a fax is sent, do you have to dial 9 to obtain an outside line?
If Yes, ensure that 9 is inserted before the fax number.
If No, check the following:
- Press MONITOR
- dial the number, and listen for the response i.e. engaged tone, voice message etc. Anything other than a ring tone followed by the normal fax sounds (warbling sounds) means that the line is faulty or the number is incorrect.
